Vedic maths is the ancient science of numbers, based on the Vedas’ teachings. It originated in India nearly 5,000 years ago and has been developed over the centuries into a complex system of calculation methods, including number theory, Pythagoras’ theorem, trigonometry and geometry. Vedic maths uses mental powers that are based on the mind’s ability to remember and calculate numbers without using any physical tools. The concept of zero is also important because it represents a space that can be used to represent other numbers such as negative numbers or fractions.
